Jam Session
July 2018

Today we filmed a group of Shedders who like to jam every Wednesday. I was surprised how good they are considering the bad acoustics, lack of drums, little rehearsal and noisy surroundings. Well done fellas.

The Coffs Harbour Fire and Rescue Boys dropped by the shed to give a tlak about Fire and Safety, their role in the community, how Triple 0 works, smoke alarms, chemical safety, fire extinguishers and more. The talk was friendly and in-depth, and was followed by some demonstrations of the utilities on the Fire Truck.

Xmas Party
2017

Went upmarket this year and shot some video and portraits (thanks to Les Grant) and made this short 7 minute tribute to the members who attended. It's a little 'tongue in cheek' with Santa popping up all over the place. Anyway, it's more for the records, so enjoy...

Open Day
September 9th 2017

On Saturday 9th Sept. The Men's Shed held it's first garage sale in the new shed, and was well attended by shed members. Some money exchanged hands, but the sale forced the setup of a permanent display area and storage for finished goods. Well done fellas.

Coffs Harbour Men's Shed
Marcia Street

Over the last few years Coffs Harbour mens Shed Member Les Grant has taken some excellent footage on his Canon 5D MII. It highlights the Mens Shed work area, with members working on their projects. As of April 2017 the Mens Shed is moving to a much larger, purpose built shed, so having this footage for the archives is a great present. If you watch carefully you can notice a myriad of projects and techniques, with members using many of the available industry sized equipment. Indeed, there is a lot more to offer than is shown in this video. Notice the teamwork and education of younger members.

Men at Work

A slide show of images depicting members at work, taken at the Coffs Harbour Mens Shed. Members are free to work on projects, and to also manufacture goods to order to self-fund the Men's Shed. Coffs Harbour has been so successful that in 2017 they moved to a new 800 sq metre premises with only 90 members, but there's plenty of room for more...

Day One in the new shed
May 2017

Boy, what a mess! It's a good thing there are volunteers to 'sort out' the shed. I thought I'd shoot some pics of the shed and it's contents on Day 1. It'll be interesting to see the difference after the first month of occupancy.

Car Club Day
6th Oct 2012

On the 6th October 2012 members of the Coffs Harbour Men's Shed held a joint "Car Show" with Car Club members of the Coffs Harbour Ex-Services Club (Cex). This is a slideshow of photos taken on the day, featuring the various restored cars, and members relaxing and 'intermixing' between the clubs. The day was very successful with the weather holding off long enough for a pleasant day.
